The Venue:

South Essex Slot Club is located at Vanguard Way Industrial Estate, Situated off Elm Road, approximately 3 miles to the east of Southend-on-Sea with road links to the A127 and A13. Drivetimes are 14 minutes from Southend-on-Sea. and 34 minutes from Basildon.

 

We have a very spacious venue, with plenty of room to move around the track,  workbenches to prepare your cars, fully equiped kitchen (fridge, microwave grill, kettle), bathroom and enough space to park your car just outside the venue.

 

The Track:

South Essex Slot Club track was originally built in Canada and has a past in Pinewood Raceway.

It is a six lane routed track with over 112 feet of pure racing excitement, fast corners, including a thrilling banked turn which takes us to the longest straight of the track and then to the technical section, a great balanced layout.

 

After a few months racing on the original layout, we decided to introduce an extrension, two eight feet straights, which moves the original hidden corner, which use to run underneath the high speed baking, to the left. The present layout takes the track from the original 112 feet to over 128 feet, adding around 0.6 seconds to a lap.
